Why this place
Sete Cidades National Park protects a compact landscape of unusual sandstone formations, native vegetation and ecological transition between Cerrado and Caatinga. Using Piracuruca and nearby towns as access points, it works especially well as a road-trip bridge between the Parnaíba coast and the archaeological interior around Oeiras and Serra da Capivara.
