Catimbau National Park protects a dramatic semi-arid landscape of plateaus, sculpted rock formations, canyons and caves near Buíque. Archaeological sites with prehistoric paintings add exceptional depth, making this one of the clearest ways to experience the Caatinga as a destination in its own right.
