The journey
This route follows the Northeast coast in one continuous overland direction, which is what gives it its road-trip character. Recife and Olinda provide the strongest cultural start, João Pessoa softens the pace, Pipa shifts the focus toward cliffs and beach life, and Natal with Genipabu finishes the journey with a broader dune-and-coast landscape rather than repeating the same type of resort stop.
