Salvador, Brazil’s first capital city will welcome the 2014 FIFA World Cup at the new purpose-built Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova. Also known as Complexo Esportivo Cultural Professor Octávio Mangabeira, it was built for the 2013 Confederations Cup and Subsequently this year’s World Cup.

In 2013, the brewery Itaipava from Grupo Petropolis, signed the naming rights of the new arena “Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova” under a sponsorship agreement until the year 2023, amounting to US$ 100 million. This was the first naming rights agreement signed to 2014 World Cup stadiums.(more…)
