Brazil is known for the warmth of its climate as well as its people. Despite all Brazil’s tourism fame in Europe, Brazil receives only over 20% of tourists from Europe. Therefore, the advertising agency Artplan from Rio de Janeiro decided to bring to Europe the main benefit of Brazil, the sun, when they most needed, in the winter. So they came up with the idea of creating a heated transit shelter. A transit shelter ad with the image of one of Brazil’s beautiful beaches, equipped with a powerful heater. They recreated Brazil’s summer during Europe’s harsh winter, making residents’ lives more enjoyable. The project was implemented in several cities in Europe and started in January 1st of 2011 in the city of Milan, Italy with already good responses. The website braziltour.com received over 86.000 pageviews while the campaign ran and an increase of 320% on the word “Brazil” in Google search engine.
